Designer shoes: Not so out of reach....

They seem to be everywhere we turn. You're innocently eating lunch or schleping to work and then BAM your eye balls are lustily drawn to the designer heels on somebody else's feet. 
Your heart aches.
Your stomach drops.
and a tear comes to your earning-just-above-minimum-wage eye.


Never fear. We've all been there. I am here to offer a solution.
One happy day a few years ago I deviated from my route to the grocery store and went into the DSW next door. After briefly browsing up and down the aisles I wandered to the very back of the store and discovered THE CLEARANCE ROOM. 


There, every shoe box was labeled with a sticker listing a sale price and then a colour code that indicated an ADDITIONAL % off. 


It didn't take long before I was checking back here about once a month to see what I could discover. 
Over the last couple years I've snagged a pair of Michael Kors sky-high nautical sling backs, Coach wedges, and some Marc by Marc Jacobs (wait for it...) JELLY kitten heel sandals. None of which did I pay more than $30 for.


It takes some commitment but the pay-off is oh so worth it.
